Perched above the old town’s rooftops within the walls of a former fortress, the Schloßbergbühne Kasematten stands as one of Austria’s most beloved open-air event locations.

Accessible via elevator or the Grazer Schloßbergbahn, visitors cross a piazza to enter this historic site, which features a large, gently sloping area facing the stage, niche seating in its walls, and is now weatherproof thanks to a mobile roof and new glass enclosure on the back.

Since 2017, the added glass front allows for an even broader range of events in this unique historical setting.

Tram Connections

Arrive effortlessly by taking a tram to the „Hauptplatz“ station. From there, your 3 min walk starts to the picturesque journey with the Schlossbergbahn, which will elevate you directly to the Schloßberg and our unique venue.
